It’s disclosed the features of identification troubled or insolvent banks according to the requirements of the banking legislation of the USA, the EU and Ukraine. Nowadays, we observe the convergence in the approaches to identification such types banks and notice the special role of key performance indicators (capitalization and liquidity), which indicate the presence of difficulties in banks. Based on analysis of the intervention of temporary administrations in Ukrainian banks are identified the causes of problems and tracked changes in the policy of regulators: from recovery to resolution of banks.
