This article is devoted to the question of IPO by Ukrainian companies as a factor of competitiveness of national economy increasing. In the paper constraints and factors stimulating the process of initial public offerings by technology SWOT-analysis, are considered, the impact of corporate governance on the success of the IPO in Ukraine is described and problems and prospects of an IPO in Ukraine after the global financial crisis are considered.
