The article examines inequality in income distribution of households with children in Kazakhstan for the period of 2005-2009 years. The positive trend of inequality reduction within the group and negative trends of remaining the highest percentage of families with 3 and more children in the group of poor, increasing of transfers share in the incomes structure of the most well-being households and its decreasing in poor families are revealed. Measures for adjusting social standards for households with low income are proposed.
