The article consist of situational analysis of pricing factors machine building enterprises, which allowed to form strategic decisions in the area of pricing on the basis of the results obtained. It is concluded that the main factors of pricing for the products of machine building industry in the global market are: stage of the life cycle of engineering products in the world markets; versatility of machines and equipment; interconnection of the world trade in machinery and equipment investment processes in the countries – importers; the average rate of profitability in the industry; the competitiveness of Ukrainian products of engineering products in the world markets. A proposed classification and pricing factors for the machinebuilding enterprises on the example of car-building and strategic pricing decisions for each of them.
