У статті досліджено основні передумови рентоорієнтованої поведінки суб’єктів ринку банківських послуг в Україні. Розкрито еко­номічні наслідки пошуку ренти в національній банківській системі. Обґрунтовано практичні рекомендації щодо вдосконалення держав­ного регулювання банківської системи як важливого чинника забезпечення конкурентоспроможності та національної безпеки України.
