Досліджено вплив дистанції влади на розвиток олігархічних економік та кроні-секторів, до яких належать галузі із домінуванням ренто-орієнтованої поведінки. Проаналізовано взаємозв’язок дистанції влади із деякими показниками соціально-економічного розвитку та ціннісними орієнтирами економічних систем. Проведено кореляційно-регресійний аналіз залежності дистанції влади та кумівського капіталізму, обґрунтовано існування т. з. “поганого замкненого кола”, пов’язаного із толеруванням ієрархій. Зроблені висновки стосовно того, що культурні фактори формування ієрархічних суспільств справляють прямий ефект на поширення в економічній системі т. з. кроні-секторів та слабких інститутів.
