Соціальна політика Європейського Союзу останніх років спрямована на поліпшення соціальних умов молоді в Європі. Метою дано­го дослідження є порівняльний аналіз характеристик молоді та їхніх соціальних умов у країнах ЄС-27 протягом 2006-2016 рр. з викори­станням наступних показників, пов’язаних із молоддю: освіта й навчання молоді, рівень зайнятості та безробіття, здоров’я, соціаль­на інтеграція, культура і творчість, участь молоді в цифровому світі. Також розглядається вплив та ефективність соціальної політики ЄС за сучасних економічних умов у питаннях поліпшення соціальних умов молоді. Із цією метою були використані показники зайнятості й соціальних умов, а також показники стратегії “Європа 2020”.

Аналіз показує, що з часом змінюються прагнення та потреби молоді разом з їхніми соціальними умовами. ЄС явно прогре­сує в удосконаленні соціальної політики, що адресована молодим людям, однак між країнами-членами все ще є помітні відмін­ності, тому необхідні нові інноваційні підходи для реагування на потреби молоді за швидкої зміни економічного та політичного контексту в Європі.
